On Sunday, March 1, 2015, the 2nd Greek Shaolin Cultural Festival was held in Nafplion Municipality Sports Center, organized by the Greek Shaolin Federation, the Greek Shaolin Cultural Organization and Shaolin Athletic Club of Southern Greece. All the spectators had the opportunity to become acquainted with the Culture and the Tradition of Shaolin.
More than 15 Greek Martial Arts schools and 200 students were gathered to Nafplion City, the old capital of Greece, to participate in this great cultural exchange activity. The public had the opportunity to enjoy a spectacular event and magnificent performances. The Greek Shaolin Cultural Organization [EPOS], participated with a team of 100 students, who were presented various styles of Shaolin Kungfu.
At the grand opening of the festival, the General Director of Greek Shaolin Cultural Organization Master Yan Zhuo expressed His gratitude to Master Papavasileioy Dimitris Director of Southern Greece Shaolin School and the Mayor of Nafplio City, for their efforts during the 2nd Greek Shaolin Cultural Festival.
Shifu Shi Yanzhuo, the Shaolin Master who brought the Shaolin Tradition in Greece back in '80's took the opportunity to introduce the origin of Shaolin Tradition and culture and he also referred to the difficult and remarkable work of the Venerable Abbot of the Shaolin Temple, Master Shi Yongxin to successfully spread Shaolin Culture around the world, over the last years and encouraged the audience to visit Shaolin Temple in the near future to experience cultivation life.
