On February 28, 2025, the Greek Shaolin Cultural Organization (EPOS) held a meditation and prayer gathering at their Athens center to honor the victims of the recent tragedy in Tempi. This event provided a space for the community to come together in reflection and solidarity.

The gathering began with a traditional Chan (Zen) meditation session, led by EPOS founder and officially accredited Shaolin teacher, Shi Yan Zhuo (Iordanis Stavridis). Participants were guided to focus on their breath and cultivate mindfulness, fostering inner peace amidst collective grief.

Following the meditation, attendees engaged in a prayer ceremony dedicated to the lost souls in Tempi.

EPOS, established in 2011, aims to disseminate Shaolin culture, philosophy, and arts in Greece. The organization regularly hosts events, seminars, and workshops to promote physical and spiritual harmony. This particular gathering exemplified their commitment to supporting the community during challenging times.

Participants expressed gratitude for the opportunity to come together, finding solace in shared practice and contemplation. The event highlighted the role of meditation and communal support in navigating collective sorrow.

Through such initiatives, the Greek Shaolin Cultural Organization continues to foster unity and resilience, embodying the principles of compassion and mindfulness central to Shaolin teachings.
