The Experiential Seminar "Basic Principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine" was completed at the Center for Therapeutic Flows "Eternal Flow" on Sunday, March 9, 2014. This Seminar is the first of a series of seminars that will be held in 2014, by EPOS and will have as their main goal the acquaintance of the Greek public with Chinese Traditional Medicine.
The speaker was Mr. Thodoris Altanis, Si Miao Tzu [Chin .: shìmiàojù 释妙钜] 36th Generation of Shaolin, Physician - Physiatrist, recognized Teacher of EPOS. The seminar was coordinated by Master Stavridis Iordanis, Shi can Zhuou [Chin.: shì yán zhuō 释延卓] 34th Generation of Shaolin, Founder and Director of EPOS.
The topics presented are an introduction to understanding the basic principles of an ancient wise approach to life that is valid even today.
• Historical background to TCM
• Qi Meridians and Acupuncture points
• Yin-Yang energy
• Theory of 5 elements
• Qi Energy and Vital Substances
At the end of the Seminar, Mr. Altanis stated:
Today's seminar was aimed at all those who wanted to know the basic principles that govern both PKI and therapeutic forms of exercise such as Tai Chi Chuan and Chi Gong. Understanding the function of both our body and nature and our environment is valuable knowledge for anyone who wants to function better both as a unit and as part of the whole, of which we are an integral part.
I would like to personally and publicly thank my Teacher Stavridis Iordanis for the valuable knowledge that he also imparts to Mr. Doukaris Alexandros, Director of the Center for Therapeutic Arts "Eternal Flow" for his help in making such an effort.
