The Night of the Aces 2024 was an exceptional and glamorous event, which highlighted the hard work and dedication of the athletes of Ilia. The event was organized by the Varouxis Journalism Group, and it honored the perseverance and passion of the people of sports. Particularly moving was the awarding of an award to the distinguished Student of the Shaolin Center of Pyrgos Karoumbali Christina, who expressed her warm thanks for the invitation and the distinction awarded to her.
The award was presented by the Deputy Mayor of Culture of Zacharo, Yiannis Terzis, while the Mayor of Zacharo, Kostas Mitropoulos, also participated in the event.
"It was a great honor for me to be invited to the award ceremony at the 2024 Aces Night. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the 'Patris' family, Patris Newspaper - patrisnews.com, for choosing me and for being among them in an event that took place in the hall of the International Olympic Academy in the most glorious place of ancient Greece, the sacred site of Ancient Olympia," the awarded athlete said enthusiastically.
"The award is more than just an award. It represents my dedication to the philosophy of Traditional Shaolin Kung Fu. It represents all those who taught me with patience and perseverance," she said with emotion, acknowledging the importance of her teachers and the traditional art that she represents.
The award winner dedicated her award to her club and her Teacher, Panagiotis Kapatsoulias, as well as to the Teachers of the Greek Shaolin Cultural Center, Iordanis Stavridis and Dimitris Katakalaios.
