The Greek Shaolin Cultural Organization, following its founding objective, was on Sunday, April 22, at Derveni, Corinth, in order to present the Shaolin culture, invited by the Maximos Leon Cultural Association, the Mayor of Xylokastro - Evrostini, Ilias Andrikopoulos and Mr Kapelos Dimitrios.

Responding positively to the invitation, EPOS board convened a twenty-member team of masters and students, headed by the EPOS President, Mr. Stavridis Iordanis and Master Katakalaios Dimitris, and went on Sunday morning, to the Derveni Indoor Gym, to present an hourly program of Shaolin culture. In this short presentation, which was warmly welcomed by the spectators, a variety of soft and hard skills were presented in group and individual execution, as well as weapons skills from Shaolin great tradition.

Prior to the opening of the Festival, the Mayor Mr. Andrikopoulos sent a brief greeting to all attendees, stressing that such events are a promotion not only for the martial arts but also for the Greek region and he wished to continue this great tradition next year, since it was the first time that it was held in Derveni.

The Cultural Festival in Derveni is part of the well-known Cultural Festival of Xylokastro, organized annually by the Cultural Association of Maximos Leon and the Municipality of Xylokastro - Evrostini, in the framework of their cultural activities and finds us help in this effort.
