The General Director of EPOS Stavridis Jordan - Shi Yan Zhuo [chin .: shì yánzhuō 释延卓], official representative of Shaolin Culture in Greece and the General Director of the Athens Shaolin Cultural Center, Katakalaios Dimitris - Shi Yan Kong [ chin .: shì yánkōng 释延空], attended the Cultural Festival of the USA Shaolin Temple as official guests of the Songshan Shaolin Temple of China [chin .: zhōngguó sōngshān shàolínsì 中国嵩山少林寺].

One of the top events of the festival was the Cultural Forum at Stanford University on "Shaolin Ancient Wisdom in the Modern Age" [chin .: shàolín zhìhuì zài dāngdài 少林智慧在当代]] and the "Shaolin Warriors Meet" [chin .: shàolín yīngxióng huì 少林英雄会], where about 200 students competed in Shaolin skills with bare hands and with weapons.

The opening ceremony was held on Saturday, October 10, 2015, by Master Shi Yan Lin [chin .: shàolínsì jiān yuàn yán lín fǎshī 少林寺监院延琳法师], Supervisor High Priest of Shaolin Temple and Director of Shaolin Pharmacy, Xue Yu temple's High Priest, Shi Yan Ke [chin .: shuǐ yù sì zhùchí yán kāi fǎshī 水峪寺住持延开法师], Master Shi Yan Li, General Secretary of the North American Shaolin Association [chin .: shì yán lǐ 释延理] and Master Shi Yan Ran [chin .: shì yán rán 释延然], Director of the USA Shaolin Temple, followed by the group of Shaolin Warrior monks.

The evaluation was conducted in a very friendly family atmosphere and participants where from 4 to 74 years old, showing once again that Shaolin Kung Fu and Arts arising historically from it, have no limits and restrictions on age, simply because they are not sport or engaged in competitive sport.

Participants competed in skills, depending on their level [zone / level]. Bear in mind that the Shaolin temple and the officially recognized centers around the world have adopted the classification of zones for male and female Students abroad, because of the Western culture and understanding. The Western mind is not accustomed to abstract concepts and can not easily grasp the classification in knowledge. For this reason, and in order to approach, especially in the young ages, an existing for decades zone rating system, Shaolin temple accepts this, as well as scoring.

Then followed the award ceremony with medals for all participants, because those involved in Shaolin, do not believe in competition and do not promote selfishness, which nourishes the separability. This is the novelty of the events organised by Shaolin Cultural Centers around the world, since effort is rewarded and encouraged.

A fantastic performance by Warrior Shaolin monks followed the evaluation, while the day ended with a free vegetarian lunch for all attendees, participants, their families and spectators.
