The educational seminar on the Leading Fist of the Shaolin Old School [chin.: Shàolín sì lù lǐnglù gōng fǎ 少林四路领路功法], that was implemented by the Greek Shaolin Cultural Organization, was successfully completed on the morning of December 9, 2018, and was exclusively for its masters and advanced students.

The seminar was presented by the Head Master of the Greek Shaolin Cultural Organization [EPOS], Stavridis Iordanis [Shi Yan Zhuo], as part of the action "Getting familiar with the traditional Shaolin martial arts".

The students of the official Greek Shaolin Cultural Organization had a unique experience on Sunday, December 9, 2018. Under the guidance of Master Shi Yan Zhuo, who is one of the few remaining scholars of this ancient Shaolin style, a group of 30 masters and advanced students were taught and practiced this rare art of the Shaolin Temple in its authentic form.

About the Leading Fist of Shaolin Old School

According to the book "Complete Collection of Shaolin Martial Arts" [chin.: Shàolín wǔgōng dàquán 少林武功大全], the Leading Fist has its roots to Monk Fu Yu [chin.: Xuětíng Fúyù 雪庭福裕 | 1203–1275], Abbot of Shaolin, who is considered one of the fathers of the Temple Martial Arts. The Outstanding Monk, wishing to protect Shaolin Monks, from the existence of the "pseudo-monks" who took advantage of Shaolin reputation and benefits, usually creating problems for the monastery and the monks, tried to create a standard martial arts style, proof of education in the temple. With the help of three of his students who had Fighting Capabilities, they studied everything that was recorded in previous years and then combined the useful techniques into a new system called "The 10 Roads of Shaolin Fist of Song Mountain [chin.: Shí lù sōngshān shàolínquán 十路嵩山少林拳]. This was, until the recent past, the main trunk of the 10 Fighting Styles taught at Shaolin Temple.
