In the afternoon of Saturday, July 25, 2015, the EPOS team had some time at its disposal, and Master Shi Yan Zhuo saw it as a good opportunity to practice Rou Quan in the Metropolitan Park [Chin .: wángchéng gōngyuán 王城公园] of Luoyang. He instructed Master Yan Kong to get the group of Masters of Shaolin Rou Quan, Vasilopoulo Ioanni, Kapatsoulia Panagioti and Antoniou Efstathia and the graduates of Aristomachos, Antari Constantina and Capai Adrian to study Rou Quan in the park, as was customary in the past.
The Metropolitan Park of Luoyang, is the first labor park, it was built in 1955 and is considered one of the largest and most comprehensive parks of China. River Tziencho [Chin .: jiàn hé 涧河] flows through the park and it includes museums, zoo, botanical gardens with Peonies, ponds, waterfalls etc., in an area of about 500 acres. The residents of Luoyang, relax in the park, walk, and make various exercises such as qi gong, tai chi, dancing, and more. So the whole environment was particularly favorable for the occasion.
Master Yan Kong began with the team, summing up in practice the Eight Gates [Chin .: bā mén 八 门], and clarifying the dynamic of Rou Quan positions. Then he described the fundamental techniques of walking [Chin .: bù 步], throwing [Chin .: diē 跌 die], locking [Chin .: ná 拿], lossing of balance [Chin .: guān 关], hitting in acupuncture points or pressure points [Chin .: dǎ xué 打 穴], while at the end he showed how the Internal Power, "Nei Gong '[Chin .: nèigōng 內功], which is the driving force that through the martial method and the fighting movements, leads to the cultivation of Qi [Chin .: qì 气] and to Therapeutic Chan Exercises [Chin .: chán yī 禅 医].
Completing the sequence of movements, Master Yan Kong talked about the historical evidence of the evolution of Rou Quan, the eminent doctor Shaolin monk, legendary Si Chan Chi [Chin .: Shì Zhànjǔ 释 湛 举, 1776 ~ 1865], and how in 1956, the Sports Commission of China, created a simplified Small Form with 24 movements, in order to create a simplified way of training of the population.
