Ιn view of the forthcoming 4th International and 8th Panhellenic Mygdonia Martial Arts Festival of the Greek Martial Arts Federation (GMAF) and under the frame of the continuous preparation of such events, master Miao Yuan – Vassilopoulos Ioannis who is an officially recognized martial arts master of EPOS, upon contacting the Greek Shaolin Cultural Organization, has organized a Systematic Education Teaching in the Soft Fist of Shaolin, Shaolin Rou Quan [κιν: Shàolín róu quán 少林 柔拳] for the members of Thessaloniki’s team. The event took place at the ever welcome Chortiatis-Refuge which lies at the cliff of Chortiatis mountain. The director of the refuge mr Bairactaris once again has provided selflessly its premises and an unforgettable experience for all those who attended.

The weather conditions seemed rather ominous, especially after last few days’ rainstorms, however most of the team members defied every forecast and were present in time for the scheduled exercise in the foggy cliff of the refuge.

The atmosphere was utterly electrified and bustling with energy, a fact that was soon discovered by all practitioners soon after the first few set Shaolin Qi Gong exercises. It did not take them too long to resonate with the frequency of serenity and peace that the place offered.

Age and titles had no room in such experience, as students and their children (also students) were lost in a rather intoxicating sense of tranquility.

The director of the refuge mr Bairactaris Georgios has proceeded to the necessary preparations, and the team has enjoyed a splendid vegetarian seasonal and traditional meal giving such a great end to this visit, in a family-like environment.

Mr Bairactaris obviously very happy by the behavior and attitude of the Greek Shaolin Cultural Organization, went forth and suggested master Miao Yuan some new prospects of applying the art of Shaolin Rou Quan and Shaolin Qi gong and was more than willing to contribute from his behalf the best he could for their implementation.
