On July 12, 2016, the EPOS mission visited the Wind Cave Temple, Feng Xue [chin.: fēng xué sì 风穴寺], the temple that preserved the legacy of Shaolin after the disaster of 1928. The nine-member team, led by master Shi Yan Zhuo [Chin.: shì yán zhuō 释延卓] was welcomed by the Venerable Master Shi Yong Hai in the Abbot Hall.
Master Shi Yong Hai welcomed his student from Greece, with particular pleasure and solemn. Master Yan Zhuo was briefed on the progress of the restoration works of the temple, the rising trend of the monastery in masters and students, and the increase of the faithful who visit it every day. Through time the Tower Bell was restored and now the pagoda of the 7th Patriarch [chin.: chánzōng qī zǔ zhēn chánshī 禅宗七祖贞禅师], built in 738K.E. by Emperor Xuan Zong [chin .: Xuánzōng 唐玄宗 | 685-762] of the Tang Dynasty, is renovated .
After the conversation with the elder Master and monk Shi Yan Wu [chin.: shì yán wù 释延悟] 34th generation of Shaolin, master and student cited an interview to the local TV channel of Rou Zhou [chin.: rǔ zhōu shì 汝州市] and the TV channel of Honan province, which recorded the visit along with other media. Then Master Yan Zhuo handed to Master Yong Hai an honorary plaque from EPOS, for his contribution and support for the dissemination and spread of Martial Arts of the Traditional Orthodox School of Shaolin [chin .: Shàolín chuántǒng zhèngzōng wǔgōng 少林传统正宗武功], in Greece.
Masters Yan Wu and Yan Zhuo exchanged personal calligraphies and then the newly created Shaolin Kung Fu group of the temple [chin.: Fēngxué sì wǔsēng tuán风穴寺武僧团], presented a beautiful show with diverse skills of Shaolin, in the presence of tens of visitors and pilgrims, who were at that time in the temple of the cave. Venerable Abbot invited the mission for meal in the vegetarian temple hall and later when the monks withdrawn for the afternoon meditation, the masters of the Greek mission, Katakalaios Dimitris [Shi Yan Kong], Kapatsoulias Panagiotis [Shi Miao Yin] and Altanis Theodore [Shi Miao Ju], accompanying Master Jordan Stavridis [Shi Yan Zhuo], guided the group in the halls with the unique architecture of the Nine Dragons [chin.: jiǔlóng cháo 九龙朝], the monuments and historical relics, enjoying the wonderful green and peaceful landscape of the monastery.
