Sunday January 15, 2017 was a festive day for the Hellenic Wushu Kungfu Federation, which organised the annual New Year's cake cutting and awarded distinguished athletes in a very cozy atmosphere. The event was hosted in the packed Cultural Centre of the Municipality of Vrilissia.

Masters Spyropoulos Christos, Banner Andrew, Kostopoulos John, Kostis Nikolaos, Kapatsoulias Panagiotis, Stavrakos Marios, Kokkalas Lambros, Pantelias Anthonis, Anthoniou Efstathia, Tsamoutalidi Stamatina, Kosti Olga and Saliari Elena headed by the General Director of EPOS, Master Stavridis Jordan and the General Director of POKESA Master Katakalaio Dimitri, were present in response to the official invitation of the Hellenic Wushu Kungfu Federation Board.

Before the standard cake cutting, the President of the Federation Mr Stamoulis, who did not hide his joy for the big participation, addressed a brief greeting to all who honored with their presence the event and ended talking about the successes of the Greeks athletes last year. Male and female athletes were rewarded and the day ended with the cutting of the New Year cake for 2017 and the exchange of wishes for the new year.

The coin of the Board was won by Mr Papachristou Christos, while this year's coin fell to the General Director of EPOS, Master Jordan Stavridis.
