In a festive environment has been completed on Sunday 27th November 2016, the 5th International & 9th National Martial Arts Festival “Mygdonia”, organized by the Athletic Club Wu Shu Kwan, under the auspices of the Greek Martial Arts Federation [EOPT], at the Municipal Sports Center of Polichni, in Pavlos Melas Municipality.
This year's two-day festival was attended by clubs from all over Greece and abroad and the participation of the sporting world and other athletes was very big.
The Greek Shaolin Cultural Organization, as every year took part in the Festival and had a great presence with a group of 20 male and female students from the unions with which it cooperates. The mission was led by the EPOS General Director, Master Stavridis Jordan [ shì yán zhuō 释延卓] , and the POKESA General Director, Master Katakalaio Dimitri [shì yán kōng 释延空] and was accompanied by masters, Alexiou Spyros, Kapatsoulias Panagiotis, Vassilopoulos Ioannis, George Delis, Stavridou Alexandra, Antari Konstantina, Capai Adrian, Stavrakos Marios and Kalogeropoulos Ioannis.
In the EPOS demonstration team, this time participated only male and female students who were chosen by their masters.
All students, regardless their level or age presented with great zeal and enthusiasm weapons and hand skills from the arts of Shaolin, riveting yet another time the attention of the audience.
This year participated for its first time the exhibition team of the recently-constituted Shaolin Cultural Center Thessaloniki “Real path”, which along with the Amaliada Shaolin Cultural Center team , tranquilized the atmosphere with their group presentations of Soft Fist – Rou [chin róuquán 柔拳].
Α special mention has to be made for the contribution of the Masters of EPOS who shouldered the duty at judge panel and registry, and who worked at their best in order for the Festival to run smoothly.
