The 1st Shaolin Kung Fu Contest was successfully completed on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at noon, at the Municipal Stadium of Nafplion, which took place immediately after the completion of the 5th Shaolin Cultural Festival of EPOS. The event was organized by Masters Dimitris Papavassiliou, Dimitris Katalaios and Stavridis Iordanis, with the help of the EPOS Associated Associations. It was under the auspices of the Hellenic Wushu Kungfu Federation [protocol number 1796/18] and was supported by the Municipality of Nafplion and the Municipal Organization of Sport, Culture, Tourism and Environment [DOPPAT] of Nafplion.

The 180 participants of this first Shaolin Kung Fu sporting meeting in Greece, belonged to Associations from Thessaloniki, Pyrgos, Amaliada, Nafplion, Philadelphia, Patissia, Nea Smyrni, Artemida, Ilioupoli and Alimos.

The EPOS General Director, Mr Stavridis, said:

The Greek Shaolin Cultural Organization supports each of the Associated Associations in any action they take. We are absolutely satisfied with the Naflion Martial Arts AC and AC Artemidas initiative, to implement the 1st Shaolin Kung Fu Contest, in Nafplion. Through healthy competition, we always aim to improve the technical level of male and female Students, study success and intellectual quality, while cultivating discipline, empowerment, trust and team spirit as well as wisdom, equality, harmony and other noble feelings.
