Σαολίν Ρόου Τσουάν στο Φεστιβάλ Πυλαίας

The participation of the Greek Shaolin Cultural Organization at the Pilaia Festival, which took place at the Parnassus 17 November Park, in Konstantinopoliti in Thessaloniki, on the afternoon of Saturday, May 20, 2017, after the invitation of Mrs. Giuli Pilpilidou from Places & Flavors, in order to present the Shaolin Soft Arts, was successfully completed.

The Director of Northern Greece Shaolin Office, Mr. Vasilopoulos Ioannis of the Thessaloniki Shaolin Cultural Center "True Path", was assisted by student Mavridou Sophia, who with great zeal, presented the skills of Shaolin Soft Arts.

The clean atmosphere and the blue sky were ideal for starting out in qigong [chin.: qìgōng 气功] and Shaolin Rou Quan, the Shaolin Soft Fist [chin: Shàolín róu quán 少林 柔拳], that is the precursor of the widespread and scientifically-documented Tai Ji.

Young and old, parents and children all together happily and relaxed, completed the relaxing exercises by placing their worries in the gentle breeze.

The influence of the modern way of life on the usual physical annoyances and how it is possible to delay and disappear these symptoms when the exercise offers peace and soberness of the Mind, were explained.

At the end of the presentation, there was a debate about the importance of applying Shaolin's arts to everyday life, and how much they can help to be able to rescue and expel the latent views that poison our inner state.

There was plenty of time and willingness on the part of the participants to learn more about the origin of Shaolin Rou Quan and Shaolin's history. At this point, it was emphasized how the Greek Shaolin Cultural Organization has made every effort to preserve and transmit the 1500 years old Shaolin culture in Greece.
