Master Shi Heng Da in Thessaloniki | Σεμινάριο Σαολίν Γου Κουνγκ στην Θεσσαλονίκη

In order to further explore the arts of Shaolin and to support the understanding of Shaolin soft fist [chin: Shàolín róu quán 少林 柔 拳], the EPOS students in Thessaloniki, made acquaintance with Shaolin Wu Gong [chin .: shaolin wǔgōng 少林 武功]. So, Master Miao Yuan invited Master Shi Heng Da [chin .: shìhéngdá 释 恒达] from Berlin, who has great experience in teaching Shaolin Kung Fu and is one of the older students of Master Shi Yan Zhuo [chin .: shì yán zhuō 释 延 卓], in order to share his knowledge with students from Thessaloniki.

On Monday April 11 at 8:00pm, more than 20 members of the Rou Quan Group, gathered at the beautiful place of SomaNous at Pylaia for a crash, long and highly educational seminar.

Master Heng Da, who received warm welcome in the crowded studio, made a brief introduction about the arts of Shaolin, the three precious treasures of Chan, Wu and Yi and how the Wu Gong is directly related to the art of Shaolin Rou Quan.

The first therapeutic exercises did not take long to heat up the spines of the trainees. Great detail and weight was given to the basic stance of Shaolin, the horse stance Ma Bu [chin .: mǎ bù 马步]. Master proceeded in a traditional full set of 8 basic stances Ba Bu [chin .: bā Bù 八 步]. The receptivity of the participants led the Master to make a step forward in fighting applications and more specifically grabs-locks [chin .: qínná 擒拿] from each stance, explaining at the same time the importance of the transition from one stance to the other.

Then pleased by the team's enthusiasm, proceeded to exercises of vital energy Qi Gong [chin .: qìgōng 气功] and specific breathing routines.

This extensive course ended with a presentation of Soft Fist of Shaolin [chin: Shàolín róu quán 少林 柔 拳] by some Members to the Master, who in turn suggested exercises to improve balance and stability in the step, while he declared that the application of the teachings and exercise in Rou Quan in everyday life is of greater importance than simple mechanical exercise movements.

Master Miao Yuan and his students thanked Master Heng Da and invited him to come again, to share with them even more knowledge.
