In Shaolin, except from the Venerable Abbot, the Shaolin Kung Fu presentation team which many confuse with the fighters monks, buildings, halls and historical relics of the monastery, there are some, few masters who are hardly distinguished, that hold on their back the large pieces of this extended system that is configured during the last 1500 years and is called Shaolin culture.
In order for Greek lovers of Shaolin Culture, to get a thorough knowledge of Shaolin, master Shi Yan Zhuo wanted to introduce them to Venerable Master Shi Yong Qian [chin .: shǒuzuò shì yǒng qián fǎshī 首座 释 永乾 法师 | 1946 -], one of the five high priests of Shaolin temple[chin .: wǔ wèi zhǔ fǎ fǎshī 五位 主 法 法师] and head of Dharma, Master Shi Yan Lin [chin .: shì yán lín fǎshī 释 延 琳 法师] head of Pharmacy and Master Shi Yan Zhuang [chin .: shì yán zhuāng 释 延 庄 | 1964 -], one of the excellent masters of Shaolin Kung Fu.
The mission met with master Shi Yong Qian at his dormitory. Master Shi Yong Qian is the first monk who came to Shaolin and became a disciple of the Patriarch of Shaolin, Venerable Shi Xing Zheng [chin .: shìxíngzhèng dàshī 释 行 正 大师 / 1914 - 1987]. He is responsible for the proper observance of Dharma and is the next in position after the Abbot. One of his most famous students is Shi Yan Ming. Master welcomed EPOS mission, offered fruit and tea and chatted with them on various issues, with particular emphasis on the life and work of Venerable Shi Xing Zheng and the course of the Monastery, as well as the effort made by Venerable Abbot Shi Yong Xin [chin .: shìyǒngxìn fāngzhang 释永信 方丈] in the last 18 years to revive the civilization and culture of Shaolin and to protect the ancient monastery, his name and reputation.
Then the EPOS mission, met with master Shi Yan Zhuang, who is responsible for the material and the teaching of Shaolin Kung Fu. Master stopped overseeing the training of the performance team when he saw the mission, in order to welcome Greek friends. He was delighted to rejoin some of the team members, with whom he had met at the European Shaolin Festival in London. Master Shi Yan Zhuang spent a very constructive morning with Greek friends, and did not miss the opportunity to converse with Master Shi Yan Zhuo, since they are connected with long friendship.
The next master who met the mission was the director of Shaolin Pharmacy, Master Shi Yan Lin, who has been entrusted with the task of reconstruction of Shaolin Medicine and its spread. The master greeted the members of the mission to his office, where he offered them tea and talked with them about the crisis in Greece, the economic situation that shakes humanity, and urged everyone to be able to withstand and continue because they must offer and help all people that need them. He also informed master Yan Zhuo, about the establishment of a branch of the temple Pharmacy in the city Zheng Zhou [Chin.: Zhèng Zhōu 郑州]. Master Yan Lin was very pleased and happy that saw again many members he had met at the European Festival in London last October, and he did not miss to refer extensively to Shaolin medicine, treatment methods, Shaolin Qi Gong and shared stories of the past, in a warm and cheerful atmosphere.
The team, during the tour of Shaolin Temple, met also other masters, like Shi De An and Shi Yan Ru, known friends of masters Shi Yan Zhuo and Shi Yan Kong, from the old times, and master Shi Yan Wu, who is specializes in Qi Gong and calligraphy.
