Masters and students from 10 countries, 80 clubs, 4 Federations and 5 martial arts associations, gathered at the Sports Hall of Serres, in the Valley of Agioi Anargyroi, on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 May, 2016. Dias Serron and Hermes Iraclias with the strong support of the Municipality of Serres and its Mayor, Mr Peter Angelides, invited, as part of their Culture and Sports actions, the Greek Shaolin Cultural Organization, in order to present Shaolin Kung Fu. EPOS accepted the invitation and attended this event with 30 male and female students and several Masters under the guidance of Master Shi Yan Zhuo.

Despite the adverse weather conditions, emergency measures in our country and unfortunate circumstances, the response was beyond expected. 500 athletes were present and gave the audience a great show.

At the beginning of the event the President of E.O.P.T. sent greetings to all participants and after he personally thanked them for their support and participation, honored them with a commemorative cup. Immediately after, the President of OPAKPA Mr. Margaritis Chatzimargaritis invited all people in Serres to attend the events and to encourage the Greek athletes and said that such a festival could not be organised without volunteering and thanked all the volunteers who helped.

The 30 members EPOS team presented Shaolin Rou Quan and Shaolin Kung Fu and consisted of Sifu Kapatsoulias Panagiotis, Altanis Theodore, Stavrakos Marios and Kalogeropoulos Ioannis [Pyrgos and Amaliada], Anthoniou Efstathia [Heliopolis], Kokkalas Lambros [Nea Smyrni], Stavridou Alexandra and Antari Constantina [Artemis], Vassilopoulos Ioannis [Thessaloniki] and Banner Andrew [Psychiko]. Team leader was the founder and director of the Athens Shaolin Cultural Center, Master Katakalaios Dimitris.

The festival was covered by ERT Serres TV and other local media, which interviewed the organizers, the officials and the leading athletes of the tournament.
