The 4th Shaolin Culture Festival & 1st EPOS. Friends Festival was successfully completed in Nafplion, on Sunday, March 12, 2017, at the Municipal Sports Centre of Nafplion, where all the spectators had the opportunity to enjoy and to get to know the Shaolin culture , and other Traditional Martial Arts.

More than 200 participants from 15 leading schools in Greece, participated in the festival, which was organised by Sifu Dimitris Papavasileiou of Athletic Club Shaolin Kung Fu N. Greece, with the cooperation and assistance of the Municipality of Nafplion, the Greek Shaolin Federation[ EOS] and the Greek Shaolin Cultural Center.

The Greek Shaolin Cultural Organization [EPOS] and cooperating Clubs Members of the Greek Shaolin Federation, participated with 50 male and female students, who presented unarmed and armed skill forms from Shaolin tradition.

Before the beginning of the festival, Sifu Papavasileiou honored Konstantinos Giannakopoulos, Kapareliotis Ilias, Antari Constantina, Anna Giannakopoulou, Takaki Danai and Stavridou Alexandra of OASKF Aristomachos, for their successful presence at last year's E.O.G.K.F championship, and Masters Vasilopoulos John of True Path and Anthoniou Efstathia of OASKFI Wind, for their contribution to the spreading of Shaolin arts.

Then the organizer gave to all Masters who honored the event with their presence, a commemorative cup, and presented a souvenir to the founder of EPOS, Master Stavridis Jordan - Shi Yan Zhuo [chin .: shì yán zhuō 释 延 卓], for his 30 year service to Shaolin Kung Fu.

Specifically, Master Shi Yan Zhuo, was accompanied by Masters Kokkalas Lambros, Kapatsoulias Panagiotis, Altanis Theodore, Delis George, Stavrakos Marios, Vasilopoulos Ioannis, Kalogeropoulos Yiannis, Spiros Alexiou, Galanopoulou Rachel, Giannakopoulos Kostas, Antoniou Efstathia, Stavridou Alexandra, Antari Constantina and Anna Giannakopoulou.

The team of Sifu Papavasileiou marked the start of this year's festival with a group form of Hung Ga, which was applauded by all participants and spectators. Then Shaolin Rou Quan teams from Pyrgos, Amaliada and Thessaloniki charmed viewers with Soft Fist skills and finally the student of OASKF Aristomachos presented a group broad sword skill, thereby closing the initial part of this very successful demonstration.

Then followed a three-hour, varied spectacle of athletes of all ages with forms, combat techniques, self-defense, stochomachies, races, which gave everyone a beautiful Sunday morning.

Upon completion of the Festival, Master Shi Yan Zhuo [Stavridis Jordan] said:

The Shaolin Culture Festival in Nafplion, is now an institution of Spirit, friendship and sportsmanship in Martial Arts. As I have said in the past without the support of Nafplion Municipality, my good friend Sifu Papavasileiou, friend Masters and exceptional participants, it could not be realized. And for this reason I thank them from the heart, giving us the opportunity to show what we all cherish. I wish next year to be able to meet and to give ourselves one more unique experience.
