On February 7, 2016, the traditional Chinese New Year and the Spring Festival, organized by the Greek Shaolin Cultural Centre, was celebrated with great success at the Shaolin Cultural Center "Celestial Dragon" in Nea Smyrni. All centers and Shaolin culture groups that belong to the Greek Shaolin Federation and cooperate with EPOS, attended the celebration, along with the masters, male and female students, members, their friends and families.

At 5 pm, on Sunday, the newly established Shaolin Cultural center "Celestial Dragon" opened to the public, who arrived from various regions of Greece, from Thessaloniki to the Peloponnese. At the festival were present and honored us with their presence, the master of Modern Wushu Mr. Tsimpinoudakis George and Sifu Pantelias Anthonis from the Wu Yong Chun Academy.

The celebration culminated at 6:00 pm, where according to the time difference, began the new year of the Monkey in China. More than 250 attendees celebrated in a warm and friendly atmosphere, the coming of spring, with music, greetings, tea with food. Master Shi Yan Zhuo, addressed those present and wished them an auspicious year in all areas of life. He talked about the EPOS work and the efforts made to improve the spreading of the Shaolin culture, the support of the Shaolin Temple and Venerable Abbot Shi Yong Xin, and for the continuation of the tradition. Then wished the host and Director of the Shaolin Cultural Centre Celestial Dragon, master Kokkalas Lambros - Shi Heng Ling and the Director of the Athens Shaolin Cultural Centre, master Katakalaios Dimitris - Shi Yan Kong.
