About the Hellenic Shaolin Cultural Organization

The Hellenic Shaolin Cultural Organization [EPOS] [Chin.: shàolín xīlà wénhuà zǔzhī 少林希腊文化組织], was created in 2011 by the Officially Recognized Greek Master of the 34th Generation of the Shaolin Monastery of Songshan, Shi Yan Zhuo [Chin.: shì yán zhuō 释延卓] - Jordan Stavridis, according to the official directive and supervision of the Shaolin Temple in Songshan, China.

With the creation of EPOS, Shaolin Temple [Chin.: Sōng Shān Shàolínsì 嵩山少林寺] hopes to promote the proper, healthy, perfect and complete development of Shaolin culture and civilization in Greece and to present in full and precisely the teaching and Tradition of Shaolin and all the art associated with it.

Shaolin is not only an important part of Chinese Tradition and culture but is an important monument of world cultural heritage. For this reason, on August 1, 2010, UNESCO recognized the Shaolin Temple as a Cultural Monument of Humanity and classified it as a Monument of Outstanding World Importance. As mutual understanding and cultural exchanges are imperative in the modern world, there is a growing tendency for communication between countries, nations, religions and cultures. Shaolin's cultural heritage is in itself the result of ancient cultural communication, and has played an important role in integrating the Chinese nation into world culture. Under the auspices of His Eminence Xi Ying Xin, Shaolin Temple now places great importance on international cultural exchanges and the spread of Shaolin's 1,500-year-old culture to benefit other people, and to help society.

Since ancient times, Shaolin has placed great emphasis on cultural exchanges with foreign countries. In fact, Shaolin culture has reached full growth after a continuous historical course of continuous cultural exchanges. With the development of technology and the flourishing of international cultural exchanges, Shaolin Culture has spread abroad, through a wide range of cultural exchanges.

This made it absolutely necessary to establish Official Cultural Centers in various parts of the world, from the Shaolin Temple of Songshan. The purpose of these centers is to preserve and promote the proper, healthy, perfect and complete Cultural Heritage and Arts of Shaolin. Provide information and guarantee the reliability, completeness and accuracy of the teaching and dissemination of Shaolin Culture.

The operation of the Hellenic Shaolin Cultural Organization has as purposes:

1. the acceptance of Shaolin-loving members 2. the education and certification of Shaolin Arts throughout Greece
3. providing a channel of communication between Shaolin friends and ardent supporters
4. to guarantee its reliability, completeness and accuracy in its dissemination and dissemination

Our Cultural Organization has three main goals:

1. To unite people from all walks of life in a common effort to spread Shaolin cultural culture throughout Greece.
2. To promote international cultural exchanges, and to strengthen mutual understanding and trust.
3. To maintain the completeness and accuracy of Shaolin arts.

Our Cultural Organization maintains the following principles:

1. Protection and dissemination of Shaolin tradition.
2. Management and operation of Shaolin culture in modern times.
3. Assistance in protecting Shaolin tradition.
